All modern operating systems provide some capability to monitor overall health of server and network operations. In fact, today's sophisticated implementations of Windows NT and the various UNIX platforms provide excellent utilities to monitor and report potential problems or bottlenecks. See Chapter 18 for information on how to install a counter in the NT Performance Monitor to chart a multitude of Domino server statistics.
