Creating storage groups

You can create a storage group by using the CREATE STOGROUP statement. The basic syntax is:

    CREATE STOGROUP [StogrpName] ON ['StoragePath']
    OVERHEAD [DeviceOverHead]
    DEVICE READ RATE [DeviceReadRate]
    DATA TAG [DataTag] SET AS DEFAULT

In the preceding code, the following applies:

• StoGrpName: Identifies a unique name to assign to the storage group once it is created.
• StoragePath: Identifies storage paths to add for the named storage group.
• DeviceOverHead: Identifies the I/O controller time and the disk seek and latency time, in milliseconds. The default value is 6.725 milliseconds.
• DeviceReadRate: Identifies the device specification for the read transfer date in MB/second; the default value is 100 MB/second.
• DataTag ...
