Range clustering and range partitioning tables
Rows of data can be grouped into ranges and assigned to tablespaces. This is done when the table is created by using the CREATE TABLE statement. This determines how data is physically stored on the disk. Data ranges are created using range-clustered tables, or by taking advantage of range partitioning tables.
