I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Thresholds
A threshold is an object that sets a predefined limit based on specific criteria, such as consumption of a specific system resource or duration of execution time. This is essential to maintaining the system stability by identifying work that behaves abnormally.
There are four types of Db2 WLM thresholds:
- Connection thresholds: This defines a limit as to how long a connection can sit idle, and can be defined using CONNECTIONIDLETIME.
- Unit of work thresholds: This defines a limit as to how long a unit of work can execute, and the clause is UOWTOTALTIME. This can only be applied to a unit of work, and not to a specific activity.
