So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
HADR-specific parameters
The following section describes the database configuration parameters related to HADR implementation and tuning:
- hadr_local_host: This parameter specifies the local host name for high availability disaster recovery (HADR) TCP communication.
- hadr_remote_host: This parameter specifies the TCP/IP host name or IP address of the remote high availability disaster recovery database server on the HADR primary database, this parameter references the host of the principal standby. In a pureScale HADR environment, it contains a pipe-delimited (|) list of all addresses (hosts and ports) in the standby cluster. For example, in a five member pureScale HADR primary cluster set, hadr_remote_host is as follows:
