Db2 HADR support was introduced in v10.5, allowing for asynchronous modes. The SYNC and NEARSYNC HADR synchronization modes were added in v11.1. With SYNC and NEARSYNC, near zero data loss is possible, with the scalability and cost improvements of cluster technology.
Geographically Dispersed pureScale Cluster (GDPC) now supports 10GE RoCE and a TCP/IP network within all pureScale supported operating systems. This feature includes multi-adapter ports for each member of the cluster. In addition, the CF allows for high bandwidth, and eliminates a single point of failure (SPOF) in the event of a loss of a single member or CF.
