MDC
Multidimensional clustering (MDC) provides a method for clustering data in tables along multiple dimensions in a flexible, continuous, and automatic way. MDC allows a table to be physically clustered on more than one key or dimension, simultaneously. Like any other table, an MDC table can have views, MQTs, referential integrity, triggers, RID indexes, and replication defined for the table. Range queries involving any combination of the specified dimensions of the clustered table will perform better, because they will only need to access those pages that have records with the specified dimension values.
