Installation and upgrades
The Db2 pureScale installation requires tools to share data in a UNIX environment. RSCT, TSA, and GPFS are products included with Db2 to make pureScale installations easier. In V11.1, IBM has added smarts and checks to the pre-check, installation, and verification processes. Getting GPFS set up and replicated across servers is also easier. Db2/HADR support was introduced with V10.5, allowing for asynchronous modes.
The installation process itself includes problem identification during a step-by-step deployment, along with restart logic.
