Creating a buffer pool

If you want to create a buffer pool of a page size 4K, with a total number of pages of 50,000, you can do so by executing the CREATE BUFFERPOOL command, as follows:

CREATE BUFFERPOOL bpool_04k SIZE 50000 PAGESIZE 4K;

If you want to specify the number of pages that should exist in the block-based area to improve the sequential prefetching, execute the following command:

CREATE BUFFERPOOL bpool_16k SIZE 10000 PAGESIZE 16K  
NUMBLOCKPAGES 5000 BLOCKSIZE 128;

Finally, if you want to create a buffer pool that is automatic in nature, you can do so by executing the following command:

CREATE BUFFERPOOL auto_bpool_32k PAGESIZE 32K;
