Safety
As with employment everywhere, safety for you and others is paramount. There are strict safety precautions and rules that apply in any studio; for example, no smoking, no consumption of food or drink in the studio.
The obvious personal safety requirement for make-up, hair and costume personnel is to wear appropriate clothing. You need to be ready to work in any conditions: in confined spaces, amongst scenery or in inclement weather. Ease of movement is indispensable. When working under pressure, the last thing you need to worry about is your clothing.
