Finger Waving
Waved hair was a style popular in the l930s. Sometimes metal clamps were used to hold the waves in place as the hair dried. Today there are light alloy clips that are much more comfortable and friendly!
It is important to learn to do this properly. If only the top layer of hair is waved, when combed through the waves will drop down and the style will not be true to the period.
1. Wet the hair thoroughly and comb straight, right through to the roots, with a parting at one side.
2. Starting at the top of the head by the parting, start the wave by combing the hair away from the face.
3. Hold the direction firmly with the second finger of the other hand.
