Setting Hair
Whether setting wet hair in rollers or setting dry hair in heated rollers the most important thing is to create ‘lift’ at the roots. The rollers are generally inserted in the direction of the hair growth. If the rollers have been put in correctly and firmly, in principle any style can then be dressed. Larger rollers are used at the top of the head as the hair is longer and the amount of curl required is less.
When the hair is too short for a roller or when a tighter curl is required, the hair can be set in pincurls. The hair is wound into a curl and secured with a hairclip.
