Eyes and Cheeks
Eye shadows and blushers, sometimes known as ‘rouge’, come in creams, grease or powders. If grease or cream is being used it would obviously be applied before powdering. Powder colours, added after powdering the foundation, are possibly more convenient as they can be built up slowly to the required effect and can be refreshed more easily as the day goes on. For TV and film work the amount of shine in the product is significant: any shine or glitter will catch the lights and will only be useful for certain effects.
