When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Continuity
When productions were transmitted live there were few continuity problems as everything was shot in sequence. Once it was possible to rehearse and record, the problems of continuity grew. Recording provided so much more scope for the storyline and the timescale of the production. Even in a situation comedy, where the performance is in front of an audience in a studio, there can be location shots, filmed in advance and inserted into the studio recording. This means that the clothes worn and the make-up and hair presented, possibly weeks previously in the location work, must be matched exactly in the studio work.
Accurate notes must be kept and the use of a Polaroid or digital camera is extremely helpful. On a film unit a continuity ...
