When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Studio Lighting
In the studio there is a vast, permanent rigging system in the ceiling, numbered and mapped out so that a lighting director and even a sound supervisor can plan in advance where their main lights and microphones will be for a scene. These can all be put in place in advance of a production and can be turned on and off when needed. They are operated from a gallery where colour and temperature can be checked out by any other design personnel.
On the studio floor will be any other necessary lighting, the heavy cables covered by bridges for the safety of people moving around the studio. Once lights are set it is important that they are not knocked and that people take care not to walk in front of them when in use.
