System notes

NetSuite records changes on every record and displays them in a subtab on the record, called System Notes:

System Notes tab on Transaction

The System Notes tab specifies the following:

• DATE of the change
• USER who made the change
• CONTEXT or, rather, the way in which the change was made
• TYPE of change, such as Set or Created versus Change
• The FIELD that was changed
• The OLD VALUE 
• The NEW VALUE 

This tab is used when reviewing transactions on a one-by-one basis but is of limited help when we need to analyze multiple records to assess changes, for instance, where an integration has gone awry and updated a number of records that ...
