I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Restrictions
Now that we have given Brian permission to see sales orders, we need to determine which sales orders he should be able to see. He presumably needs to see sales order #10, as he is the assigned sales rep, but what about order #11 and #12? Should he be able to review order #11, which is assigned to his direct report, Jason, and sales order #12, which is assigned to Kathy, who is a member of another team?
While permissions provide access to the Sales Order record, restrictions determine the specific sales orders the role can access:
- None–No Default: The first selection in the Employee Restriction is None–No Default. In this case, Brian would be able to view, edit, and delete Sales Orders #10, #11, and #12.
- None–Default to Own
