Permissions

Permissions apply to the record. It answers the question, Do we want Brian to be able to see any sales order data at all?

Permissions are naturally found on the Permissions tab and segmented by type of record, namely, by Transactions, Reports, List, and Setup.

If the record does not appear in the list of the saved roles, the user with that role will not be able to see those records at all. If we were to remove Sales Orders from the Transactions Permissions for the AB sales manager role, sales orders would be invisible to Brian when he logs in with that role. Sales orders would not appear in his menus, and searches for existing sales orders will not return results.
