Restrictions can also be applied using different criteria. The Restriction tab enables us to apply this concept based on segments such as department, class, and location. We can, therefore, restrict certain user's access to only records within their respective departments, classes, or locations. The selection of department, class, and/or location on the transaction would, therefore, need to match the department, class, and/or location on the user's employee record to have access. There is also an ALLOW VIEWING option that can be used in the same way as the option on EMPLOYEE RESTRICTIONS:
