So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Bottom Line on Outsourcing
Not much quantitative data exists on the success or failure of outsourcing arrangements, but anecdotal reports have been favorable. For example, Capers Jones reports that outsourcing averages about twice the productivity of in-house development in New England banking applications (Jones 1991).
