We say all the time in SEO that you can’t approach anything with a “set it and forget it” mentality. Google is changing things all the time, and it’s up to us to keep up with it all. If not, we’ll simply fall behind everyone else who took the time to meet the mighty search engine’s new standards.

That’s what we’re dealing with when it comes to Google’s Page Experience Update. In May of 2020, Google warned webmasters of its Page Experience Update. In November of 2020, it confirmed a full May of 2021 rollout of this algorithm update. That April, Google postponed the rollout to a gradual one that happened in June and July of 2021, and now it’s here.

Google’s latest algorithm update is an important change in the search engine rankings. It has made it more difficult for sites with low-quality content to rank highly.
