Options at a Glance
To access the AutoCAD Environment Options, right-click in the command line and select Options from the shortcut menu. This will open the Options dialog box, shown in Figure B.1.
There are nine tabs that contain hundreds of options. The name of each tab is listed in the following sections, with a brief description of what can be set within each tab.
The Files Tab
This tab controls which directories AutoCAD will search to find fonts, linetypes, hatch patterns, menus, and more. If AutoCAD cannot find the files specified in the current directory, it then searches the directories indicated here (see Figure B.1).
