Offsetting Objects at a Specified Distance
The Offset command places a copy of the selected object parallel to itself at a user-defined distance. This command easily creates concentric circles and parallel lines and curves, and cannot be used on three-dimensional faces or objects.
This command is available from the Modify toolbar or pull-down menu (see Figure 8.15).
