Using Templates

There are numerous settings that can be set within a drawing. This chapter introduces you to these settings and the numerous facets of setting up a drawing, building templates, and to the basic drawing objects and viewing commands. First, let's discuss creating templates and the potential time savings they can save you when creating project drawings.

Files that contain preset drawing settings are called templates. Essentially, templates are base drawing files with a .DWT extension.
