Creating Text Styles

Throughout this chapter, you have encountered many references to text style: the ways in which style defines the appearance of text, and the ways in which the default settings may be modified. A text style stores settings for font, text height, and other special effects, such as backward text. Every text object you create is based on a text style, whichever one is current when the text object is created.
