Microsoft Word 2013 is a powerful word-processing program that enables you to easily compose and edit documents for print or online use. Word contains new tools specifically designed to improve the way you interact with the program, and the way you collaborate with one another in preparing documents.
This chapter introduces you to the terminology and the basic Word skills you use in the program. In Word, files are called documents. Each new document is similar to a blank page.
