Applying a Quick Style
A style is a collection of formatting settings saved with a name in a document or template that you can apply to text at any time. Word provides different style sets to make it easy to format text. Each style set consists of a variety of different formatting style combinations, which you can view using the Quick Style Set gallery. To quickly see if you like a Quick Style Set, point to a thumbnail in the gallery to display a live preview of it in the selected text. If you like it, click the thumbnail to apply it. You can also access styles from the Mini-Toolbar (New!) when you select text. If you prefer, you can also use the Styles or Apply Styles pane.
