Sending a Document by Instant Message

Microsoft Lync is an instant messaging program that allows you to hold online meetings with an audio and video experience. Lync uses a SharePoint or Office 365 site as the host location for the online meeting. With Lync, you can send an Office document to a participant in an instant message. You can use the Send IM button (New!) on the Share screen to start an instant message conversation in Lync and transfer the currently opened document. After the files gets transferred, you can carry on with the instant message conversation by using the action buttons to work with messages, dial pad to call, add video, share presentation content, or work with audience.
