If you’re working with Word on a touch screen device, all you need is your finger to make gestures (New!). A gesture is the movement of one or more fingers on a touch screen or pad. For example, touching the screen is called tapping or dragging your finger with a flicking motion at the end of the movement is called swiping. You can double-tap file or folder in a dialog box or tap and drag to select a range of text in a document to select and edit it. To make Word easier to use with touch screens, the program provides Touch/Mouse Mode (New!), which adds or removes more space between commands on the Ribbon.
Click the Quick Access Toolbar list arrow, and then click Touch/Mouse Mode.
