The internet has totally transformed the process of outsourcing. Although many people still think of the term solely in the context of call centres, these days it’s easy to find people all over the world eager to take on the tasks you don’t want to or can’t do yourself. And they’ll do it for a lot less than you’re likely to pay locally.
Outsourcing fits well with the 80/20 principle that we covered earlier in this part. It makes sense to delegate the tasks that you don’t do well or that don’t represent the greatest value you can give. My list of things that I don’t like and/or don’t do very well includes:
