Higher Brightness Display Increases the
Effect of 24/25p Judder
HDR high contrast scene elements shot at 24 fps
are vastly more prone to strobing on screen at
higher light levels. 24 fps judder and icker are
MORE PRONOUNCED in HDR, shutter speed,
and angle and strobing/judder are exacerbated
with higher dynamic range display. Higher frame
rate capture and display lessens the effects of
24/25p judder, and new higher acquisition frame
rates will likely be necessary in the near future.
