The modern RED digital cinema ecosystem

is very similar to the traditional lm camera

conguration. Two distinct bodies, RANGER

and DSMC2, can be coupled with four distinct

imagers, MONSTRO, HELIUM, GEMINI,

or DRAGON, much the same way one would

choose a lm camera and a lm stock.

RED designed the DSMC2 camera body to

be modular and t a wide range of production

workows. Smaller and lighter than the origi-

nal DSMC design, when stripped down to the

camera body itself, users have a high-resolution
