Clutter on the camera is an invitation to fail-

ure. I have a slogan that I recite when a camera

fails to give picture: “First check the cables –

because it is almost always the cables that fail!”

Camera Power

Camera power is also a concern that should be

addressed in camera prep. Camera batteries fail,

so this is an area that needs constant attention by

the camera crew, and this is not an area where you

should look for savings. Bring enough batteries

for the job and then bring spares, and always have

an AC power supply available ...
