a Century (or Richter or Gecko or Van Diemen

or other) Lens Evaluation Projector is almost

always the rst stop in evaluating a lens, followed

by a visit to the Richter or Möller–Chrosziel

Collimator, and nally the e-stop tester made by

Steffelbauer.

Projecting Lenses for Evaluation

A Century Lens Test Projector illuminates a

reticle pattern to ll the exit pupil of prime and

zoom lenses, while using a heat absorbing glass

to prevent heat radiation from being transferred

to the test lens.
