Cineon/DPX

The Cineon project was responsible for the

creation of the Cineon (.cin) 10-bit log le for-

mat, designed to hold individual digital lm

frames.The Cineon le format became the basis

for the later SMPTE standardized Digital Pic-

ture Exchange (.dpx) format. The Cineon image

le format is very similar to the ANSI/SMPTE

DPX le format, and they are for all intents and
