Resources for Creative Lens Tests

Creative choices of lenses and lens types is the

duty of the cinematographer. Vintage lenses can

give footage a period feel. Softer lenses can give

scenes a romantic feel, and very sharp, contrasty

lenses can convey a sense of tension. Lenses are

one of the principle creative tools for setting the

mood and tone of the project.
