To test for Moiré begin by hanging the fab-
ric against a neutral background. Put a sharp
normal focal length lens like a 50mm on the cam-
era, then dolly in and out from close up to very
wide. Play the footage back on a good monitor
and watch for any sign of Moiré. If something
does show up, select frames where the effect can
be clearly seen and put them into a computer
