Very high frequency
The very high frequency band sits between 30 MHz to 300 MHz with wavelengths from 10 m to 1 m respectively and is one of the most used frequency bands. VHF is used for TV broadcasting as well as FM radio. FM radio operates in the 88 MHz to 108 MHz range of the VHF band.
Airline pilots communicate with air traffic controllers using the 118 MHz to 137 MHz range of the VHF band.
