Hands-On Edge Analytics with Azure IoT

In this chapter, we reached the pinnacle of hands-on edge analytics as we built a smart doorbell application that recognizes a visitor at the door. Using an object-oriented coding approach, we were able to keep our code neat and efficient.

We utilized an external Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) server to publish simple messages to our dashboard, thereby driving home the edge analytics benefits of privacy, latency, and reliability, as image processing and recognition are done at the edge.
