Understanding the application

The following is a diagram of the application we will build. For our purposes, we will use a Raspberry Pi Model 4 (4 GB RAM) computer as our edge device. We will require a powerful Raspberry Pi to install the libraries needed for our application as well as for the heavy computation required by the application:

A webcam connected to the Raspberry Pi will provide video frames for analysis. The Raspberry Pi will connect to an internet router via Wi-Fi where an MQTT signal will be published to the cloud.
