Creating an IoT Hub

In Chapter 4, Working with Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, we created an IoT Hub in Azure. If you still have this IoT Hub from the previous chapter, you may skip over this section.

To create an IoT Hub in Azure, do the following:

1. Log in to your Azure account and navigate to the Azure portal.
2. Click on the Create a resource button.
3. In the search box, type in IoT Hub and hit Enter.
4. You should see a Create button used to create an IoT Hub, as illustrated in the following screenshot. Click on it:

5. For Subscription, use an active subscription.
6. For Resource Group, create a new one and give it a name. I've called mine Ares.
