Sigfox
Founded in 2009, Sigfox is a French-based wireless IoT services company. Applications such as smartwatches, parking sensors, and gas and electricity meters use the Sigfox service. Sigfox has global coverage and operates in the 868 MHz (Europe) and 902 MHz (United States) unlicensed radio frequencies. Sigfox owns and operates the Sigfox network.
Sigfox is considered a Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) technology. LPWAN is a technology designed for long-range communications with low digital bandwidth.
