PyCom boards
PyCom boards simplify IoT development by supplying various methods for connecting to the outside world. PyCom boards utilize the MicroPython microcontroller language based on Python 3. MicroPython runs on what is referred to as bare metal as it is given access to low-level access to inputs and outputs. The following photograph shows the PyCom LoPy board:
It features Bluetooth, LoRa, and Wi-Fi connectivity. We will cover communications protocols in Chapter 3, Communications Protocols Used in Edge Analytics. We will also feature the Pycom Lopy in Chapter 6, Using MicroPython for Edge Analytics.
