I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What is Moby?
If you were to research containers, you would come across various names and acronyms. The name Moby has been in use for container technologies since 2017. So, what exactly is Moby?
To put it simply, Moby is an open source framework used to create a container system using libraries of container components, as illustrated in the following diagram:
As you may note from the preceding diagram, Moby takes in container components and assembles them to create an operating-system-specific Docker container system. Azure IoT Edge installs itself into a Docker container created by Moby.
