| Tip 77 | Type into PDFs |
If you open a PDF form within Preview, you might find you can simply click in any boxes or on any files and start typing—even if the PDF hasn’t been created or designed for you to type into. This is because Preview detects fields intended for you to write in and automatically turns them into text fields.
Whatever you type can usually be dragged and dropped out of the boxes and onto any location on the page, if you want.
