Your Mac’s built-in image viewer, Preview, includes the ability to adjust the size of a picture and to rotate it.
If you open several pictures at once, you can adjust all of them simultaneously. You may find this useful for preparing photos for use online, for example, or for correctly orienting several photos that were taken in portrait mode.
To shrink, rotate, or flip an individual picture, just open it in Preview, and click Tools→Adjust Size, Tools→Rotate Left/Rotate Right, or Tools→Flip Horizontal/Vertical on the menu.
