| Tip 218 | Map an Address You’ve Been Sent |
If you come across a contact address in a document in any of your Mac’s built-in applications or come across one in a web page, simply highlight the whole thing and right-click the selection. Then click Show Address in Google Maps. As you might guess, this will perform an instant lookup of the address using Google Maps.[18]
If you see an address in a mail message, hovering the mouse over it should reveal an arrow icon that, when clicked, will show a menu offering a Show Address in Google Maps option.
In both cases, the addresses will have to be full and not abbreviated or shortened—something like “1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA 95014” will work fine, but OS X will fail to recognize something like “1 Infinite ...
