It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

If you use the markup (highlighter) pen tool in Preview (see Tip 229, Supertip: Take Control of PDFs), you can change the color of any markup you add to text by right-clicking the markup and selecting a different color from the menu that appears—no need to highlight it again!
