Are you flying across the country, intending to work for the journey but found your mind just isn’t cooperating? In addition to the venerable Chess app within the Applications view of Finder, some very simple games are included in OS X as part of the Emacs command-line text editor. To play Tetris, open a Terminal window (open Finder, select the Applications list, and then in the list of applications double-click Terminal within the Utilities folder), and type emacs; then hold down Esc, and hit X. Then type tetris. Use the Left/Right cursor keys to move the blocks and the Up cursor key to rotate them. Hit Q to quit the game and then Control+X followed by Control+C to quit Emacs.
