So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The Messages app can be configured as a Facebook chat client, which is to say you’ll be able to chat to your Facebook friends from within Messages, and the messages will appear for them when they’re logged into Facebook. This is possible because Facebook chat uses the Jabber protocol, which is a feature offered within Messages.
Setting up Facebook chat can be done whether or not you’ve configured Facebook within the Mail, Contacts & Calendars section of System Preferences.
